Featuring Beneath Land and Water 

 An exhibition, catalogue and conference seeked to clarify the role of artists in questions of nature and culture by addressing questions of policy, efficacy and impact when artists work within a social, ecological and political context. The exhibition presented artworks that are, in effect, case studies in social, ecological change. Lacy, Susan Liebovitz Steinman and Yutaka Kobayashi presented a work that documented their Beneath Land and Water: A Project for Elkhorn City, that took place over 5 years in Eastern Kentucky The exhibition includedgroups in the United States, England, Austria, Japan and Argentina such as  Ala Plastica, Jackie Brookner, Tim Collins and Reiko Goto, Stephanie Flom, Ann Rosenthal, GroundZero Action Network, The Harrison Studio, Walter Hood and Alma Du Solier, Ichi Ikeda, Tom and Connie Merriman, Laurie Palmer, Park Fiction, Platform, and WochenKlausur. (source)
